Monica Hemenez

Wildlife Biologist

Monica Hemenez joined Terra Verde in 2021 as a wildlife biologist. She has over 8 years of experience conducting rare and endangered species surveys, habitat assessments, and biological compliance monitoring.

Monica has extensive experience in sensitive species of the Central Coast, San Joaquin Valley, and the Sierra Nevada’s including giant kangaroo rat, San Joaquin kit fox, blunt-nosed leopard lizard, American badger, San Joaquin antelope squirrel, Yosemite Toad and Sierra Nevada yellow-legged frog. She has also been approved by state and federal agencies as a Qualified Biologist on large scale renewable energy projects.

Monica achieved a B.S. degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Wildlife Biology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
